This is not the same as an anagram
An anagram uses every letter you have, rearranged. This page finds every word that can be built from any of them — so seven letters typically return several hundred words between two and seven letters long, not a handful. If you want strict anagrams, use the anagram solver and switch on “use every letter”.

Type ? for a letter you do not have. Each blank matches any of the twenty-six, so results grow quickly — two blanks on a five-letter rack is a different sized question from none.
